A few months back I put out a casting call that I was looking for some dancers to collaborate with on some kickass photo ideas I had stewing about in me’head (did that sound British? Jess and I watched “Sweeney Todd” last night and I’ve had Johnny Depp speaking in British in my head all day…)
Well the multi-uber-talented Jill found me and a few weeks back we got together for some aerial mayhem. Aerial? Yeah, as in, have you seen Cirque du Soliel? Jill blew us away, she was that good. I’d write more, but the images really do speak for themselves in this case. Also, big thanks to Brian and Meg for the assist on this shoot, I couldn’t have pulled it off without you guys.
Wanna see more? Including some work in color? Check out the full gallery.

Easily one of the most fun shoots that I’ve been on. Not too often that you get to shoot a girl doing these types of acrobatics. It was a blast assisting with Meg. The shots turned out awesome, but I am not surprised in the least bit. Great job, Doug.
I love the top shot on this post, and the color ones in the gallery. The color really makes the shots interesting, I think.
Oh, and you sound more like a Pirate than a Brit.
Thanks Velvet – totally couulda used more w/s on this shoot (and more rim light in the color shots)…need…rangers…
