Ever since my good friend Paul opened LensProToGo’s new studio space in Concord last summer, we’ve been talking about planning a large scale photographer get together. Saturday things finally came together, and we hosted 25 photographers, 10 models, a rock band and 3 makeup artists for a full-day shootout.
Thought I had a small (extra emphasis on small), part in the coordination of the day, the majority of the credit lies with Paul, Tony and Jenny, the great crew at LensPro. Tony and Mike shot a ton of video Saturday, and I’ll have a link to that when it’s ready soon. Meanwhile, if you want to just skip ahead to the full gallery from Saturday, you can do that too.
Onto the images.
Frequent readers will recognize longtime collaborator Artist, who brought the awesome, as always.
This next image of Mark was supposed to be a lighting test, but I loved it too much not to use it.
I’d never worked with Jonathan prior to Saturday, I think we got some pretty cool stuff with just the sun and a tri-grip.
Later on in the afternoon, members of The Release showed up to chill for a bit. I shot these guys back when they were called “3 Feet Short” – they’re always a good time to hang with, and I’m shooting their next show at Showcase Live (@Patriot Place) on Friday.
A little homage to John Keatley’s recent portrait of Annie Leibovitz.

Thanks Shawn – we had a blast. Going to do a much larger one in the summer.
It was great to meet you – I love your work, you got some great shots! Thanks for sharing them.
you did lots more than a small amount of coordination, for which we all thank you! I had fun and I think everyone else did too.
You made some really nice images! Thanks for sharing!
Cool stuff. wish I could have joined you guys!
Great shots Doug, I love how they turned out. I really like the hat that was used for a couple of the shots, I don’t know why but it really makes those images for some reason. I’m going to have to find a way to get out there and join you for the next one!
Great stuff. I really wish I could have made it there that day. Looks like you all had a great time.
